Palgreen LC is a plant-based biodegradable film with unlimited potential that has ushered in a new era in plastic film technology. It’s an environmentally friendly film that turns to water and carbon dioxide gas in soil or compost via hydrolysis and biodegradation.
Packaging for food, vegetables, fruit, sundry goods and documents as well as laminate for paper (laminated paper bags, dishes and cups,) window envelopes, adhesive processing (tapes and labels), plastic cups, and more
【Raw material】
Polylactic resin
Polylactic resin is produced by polymerizing lactic acid from fermented plant-based materials such as potatoes and corn.
| Features | Palgreen LC |
| Biodegradable | Biodegraded by microorganisms in soil or compost until it completely turns to water and carbon dioxide gas. |
| Low calorie combustion | Releasing less than 50% of the calories of polyethylene when burned, it causes no damage to waste incinerators and does not emit harmful gases like dioxin or hydrogen chloride. |
| Excellent transparency | Unlike other biodegradable films, it has excellent transparency. |
| Superior mechanical/physical properties | The superior strength, stiffness and precision film thickness delivered by biaxial orientation, enables it to be used for most of the same applications where conventional BOPP and BO-PET films are employed. |
| Heat-seal-cut | Boasting a sealing strength equivalent to BOPP. |
| Outstanding safety and hygiene | It’s an extremely safe and hygienic film, meeting all official food and sanitation guidelines (i.e. the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare public notice No. 370.) |
| Excellent gas permeability and WVTR | Its gas permeability falls somewhere between BOPP and BO-PET films, while its water vapor transmission rate is 10 times as high as BO-PET. |
